Haryana Government has provided/granted number of facilities to the police personnel of the State to improve the efficiency and the morale of the police force:


1. Haryana Government vide Notification No. 22/8/2002-3HG-I dated 12.6.2003 have decided that two years/one year extension in service beyond the age of superannuation will be granted to those non-gazetted Police Officers/Personnel who are recipients of Police Medal, subject to physical fitness to discharge police duties and satisfactory service record, as follows:-

This will boost the morale of Police Force doing gallantry work & have distinguished service record.

2. Police personnel drawing Ration money @ Rs. 840/- to HAP, Rs. 1200/- to Commando and Rs. 600/- to other Police P.M.

3. Diet money to the members of Commando force has been increased from Rs. 20 per day to Rs. 40/- per day and the Class IV employees of Commando Force drawing Diet Money @ Rs. 3/- per day will be given Diet Money @ Rs. 20/- per day now.

4. Police employees are now eligible to be transferred to districts of their home range except their Home District and old policy of transferring police employees to far away places from their home districts has been discontinued.

5. System of written test for selection for list B-1 Test is On line in the Police Department.

6. Police Constables having 12 years of service shall automatically be promoted to the next higher rank i.e., as EHC, 22 years as EASI & 30 years as ESI.

7. KMA allowance admissible to policemen DSP-Rs. 320/-, Inspr. Rs. 240/-, SI/ASI Rs. 160/- and ORs Rs. 100/-.

8. A sum of Rs. 30 lacs is being provided to the dependents of a deceased Police Personnel who died while fighting with the anti-social elements and saving the public life and property during natural calamities. Rs. 15 lacs, Rs. 10 lacs and Rs. 05 lacs is also being provided to the injured Police Personnel who injured in above action in cases of Terminal injury, Major injury and Minor Injury. Besides the above Ex-Gratia appointment to the one dependent of Police Martyrs is also being provided. According to Ex-Gratia appointment rules- 2019, Ex-Gratia appointment is being provided to the one dependent of deceased police personnel who died after completing the 5 years of service and died till the age of 52 years.

9. Henceforth the newly promoted DSPs shall be paid uniform allowance from the date of promotion instead of the date of approval of their appointment as DSP by Haryana Public Service.

10. During the year 2023-24, Ex- gratia grant Rs. 1,00,000/- have been provided to the families of 174 deceased Police Employees.

11. During the year 2023-24, monthly financial Assistant (MFA) have been provided to the families of 120 deceased police employees.

12. During the financial year 2023-24, Rs. 5,73,66,277/- have been provided to police units for clearing their pendency of Retirement benefits, Farewell parties, Death Relies Money, Loans and Scholarship for wards of police employees.

13. During the financial year 2023-24, a sum of Rs. 2,32,000/- have been provided to the brilliant children of police employees as scholarship.

14. The Police Department has established 22 Police Public Schools at various district Police lines for providing the better and affordable education to the wards of Police employees. The management of all the schools have handed over to the DAV, CMC, New Delhi. In these Police Public Schools, 50 % concession in all charges is being provided to the wards of Police employees and 100% concession is being provided to the wards of deceased police employees.  

15. The powers of sanctioning GPF/NRA, RA and all the loans have been delegated to the DGP by the State Govt. Haryana 

16. Ch. Devi Lal Police Training and Research Centre has been established at Bhondsi (Gurugram).

17. Madhuban has been declared as Sports District.

18. Government have granted sanction of House Rent Allowance to the Police jawans while posted in Reserves and transfer in Home Range has been permitted.

19. Conveyance Allowance to all ORs and NGOs of Haryana Police personnel has been increased as ORs Rs. 120/-, ASI Rs. 300/-, SI Rs. 360/- and Inspr. Rs 450/-.

20. The Police Department has established 23 Police subsidiary canteen at Various district police lines for providing house hold items to the dependents of Police personnel on reasonable rates.

21. The Matching grant from State Govt. for welfare of Police personnel have been received during the years 2022-23 and 2023-24.
